Founded in 1902 as a two-person office, WBRC now employs more than 70 people, including Licensed Architects, Interior Designers, Professional Engineers and designers experienced in civil, structural, mechanical and electrical disciplines.

LEED-certified projects and projects in design include the University of Maine’s Advanced Engineered Wood Composite Laboratory Office Expansion, Hannaford Augusta, Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory, Indian Island Housing, Orono Public Library, and the Ocean Avenue Elementary School, Portland.
WBRC has been recognized with several recent awards, including the 2006 Maine Historic Preservation Award for Merrill Bank, Bangor; 2007 Learn by Design Honorable Mention for the Belfast Area High School Fine Arts Addition, Belfast; the 2008 Maine Historic Preservation Award for the Bangor Waterworks, Bangor; the Maine Business for Social Responsibility 2006 Sustainable Business Award; and the 2007 Governor’s Award for Business Excellence.
