Licensed Architect

Are you a tech-savvy, team-oriented Architect who loves working on a diverse range of projects? Would you like to be part of a firm where you can grow as a designer and leader, a company with no glass ceiling? WBRC Inc. is seeking an experienced Licensed Architect to work from either our Portland or Bangor, Maine offices.

As a valued member of our Architectural Department, you will be the architectural design leader on a variety of projects across WBRC’s four studios (education, healthcare, civic, and commercial).

In addition to proven design skills, the position requires effective communication and the ability to see things from multiple points of view. Your creative problem-solving skills will be called on at every phase of a project, from pre-design through close-out.

Licensed Architect Position Requirements

  • 8 years of design experience; project management experience a plus
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCad
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Professional written and verbal communications
  • Positive, discerning, trustworthy, with excellent follow-through
  • Ability to continually adapt and improve while staying anchored in the fundamentals of quality design

Licensed Architect Project Manager

Are you a talented, ultra-organized architect with a gift for bringing out the best in your team? Are you looking for a firm where you can grow as a designer and leader, a company with no glass ceiling? WBRC Inc. is seeking a seasoned, licensed Project Manager/Architect to work from either our Portland or Bangor, Maine offices.

As a valued member of our Architectural Department, you will lead cross-disciplined teams on a variety of projects in WBRC’s four studios (education, healthcare, civic, and commercial). This position requires effective communication and strong people skills, as you will work directly with clients and consultants and coordinate resources across multiple offices. Your proven management and creative problem-solving skills will be called on at every phase of a project, from acquisition through close-out.

Licensed Architect Project Manager Position Requirements

  • 10 years of experience with at least 3 years as a project manager
  • Experience with Autodesk Revit and AutoCad
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a project from concept through construction
  • Knowledge of codes, programming, documentation, and construction administration
  • Professional written and verbal communications
  • Positive, discerning, trustworthy, with excellent follow-through
  • Ability to continually adapt and improve while staying anchored in the fundamentals of quality design and construction
