Michael Guethle, P.E., to Lead WBRC’s Civil Engineer Department

WBRC is pleased to welcome Civil Engineer Michael Guethle, P.E., to the firm. Michael will lead WBRC’s Civil Engineer Department and serve clients in the firm’s education, healthcare, civic, and commercial sectors.

Michael Guethle is an experienced professional specializing in site design, stormwater management, linear utilities, environmental permitting, and urban development. He has served most recently as a Project Engineer at Wright-Pierce. He brings diverse project experience to WBRC, including site development, grading plans, utility design, roadway design, as well as permitting and construction oversight.

“We are delighted Michael Guethle has agreed to join our team and lead our Civil Engineering group,” says Paul Brody, WBRC’s Chief Financial and Operations Officer. “We believe he is a great mix of leader and doer who can guide and grow our busy civil engineering group. He has a proven track record to date, and I believe he will be a terrific match for our team and clients.”

Michael Guethle graduated from Clarkson University with a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and Civil Engineering. He is the immediate past president of the Maine Water Environmental Association (MEWEA), serving on the MEWEA executive board as the Awards Committee Chair. Michael also currently serves on the New England Water Environment Association (NEWEA) Committees for Government Affairs; and Diversity, Inclusion, & Equity. He is also an active community volunteer, serving as a Scouts BSA Scoutmaster and a member of multiple service fraternities in Bath, Maine.

Michael will serve clients across New England from WBRC’s Portland office.
