The Town of Brunswick will also accept signed Proposal documents in PDF digital format sent with the subject line “Proposal for Construction of Brunswick Fire Station – GC NAME” to the following email address, mat.ward@wbrcae.com with a follow up hard copy of the proposal.

Proposal will be opened and read aloud publicly via Zoom Meeting by the WBRC Architects Engineers at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 28th, 2021.  Bids received after this time will not be accepted.  Invitations will be sent by the Town of Brunswick to those submitting a proposal.

A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held virtual via Zoom at 10:00am on Thursday, January 7th, 2021. The Town of Brunswick will send a Zoom meeting invite to those contractors that pull plans or request to be invited.  A non-mandatory site visit may occur at each bidders convenience or by scheduled appointment.  Contact Chief Brilliant for a tour via the following email address kbrillant@brunswickme.org.

Proposals must be accompanied by a satisfactory bid security for 5% of the proposal.

 

The Owner reserves the right to waive all formalities and reject any and all proposals or to accept any proposal.  Proposals shall be submitted upon the form provided by the Architect.

The selected Contractor will be required to furnish a 100% Contract Performance Bond and a 100% Contract Payment Bond (or other performance methods as described in “Information for Contractor”) to cover the execution of the Work which shall be in conformity with the Form of Bonds or other documents contained in the Specifications and for the Contract Amount.

Bidders and Sub-bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Bidding Documents shall make a written request to Mathew Ward via email mat.ward@wbrcae.com (no phone calls) no later than 2:00 PM Tuesday January 19th, 2021.  The final Addendum will be issued no later than 2:00 PM on Friday, January 22nd, 2021.

On or about Monday December 14, 2020 Drawings and Specifications may be obtained in electronic format from the Architect by contacting Donna Allen via email donna.allen@wbrcae.com.  Provide company name, company address, phone and contact full name and email address in requesting email.  No partial sets will be issued.

Printed sets of Drawings and Specifications may be obtained from Print Bangor, 80 Central Street, Bangor, Maine Tel 947-8049.  Contractors requesting paper copies by mail must make arrangements with Print Bangor.  No partial sets will be issued.

Clerk of the Works for South Portland Middle School

CLERK OF THE WORKS

Clerk of the Works for the new South Portland Middle School to be located at 120 Wescott Road in South Portland, Maine. Full time position under AIA Architect’s Services for On-Site Project Representation B207 2017, beginning March 2021, running through September 2023. Minimum 5 years work experience on similar project types and scale required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, experience with Newforma Project Center (or similar) ideal, and good communication skills essential. Project includes phased demolition of the existing Memorial Middle School to build the new South Portland Middle School on the project site. The new South Portland Middle School is roughly 176,000 square feet and up to four stories. The project is made up of but not limited to structural steel, concrete, masonry, insulation, various interior finishes, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, site work, geothermal system, plus related site work.
