WBRC Announces Promotion

BANGOR, ME – WBRC announces the promotion of Adam Gillespie, P.E., as leader of WBRC’s Structural Engineering Department.

Adam Gillespie has 10 years of experience in WBRC’s structural department. He has been a part of some of the region’s signature projects, including Bangor Police Department; Orono Public Library; Beardsley Meeting House and Gracie Theatre at Husson University, Bangor; Hampden Academy; Maliseet Health Center, Houlton; Mount Desert Island Biological Laboratory; Bangor Savings Bank, Augusta; and Cross Insurance Arena in Portland.

WBRC’s CEO Douglas Whitney says, “Adam is a talented engineer with a strong commitment to client service. We are confident that he will lead WBRC’s structural department with distinction as the firm continues to offer reliable and innovative structural design services.”

Gillespie is a 2005 graduate of the University of Maine with a bachelor of science in civil engineering. He grew up in Meddybemps, Maine and started his career as an intern at WBRC while still at UMaine. He lives in Eddington with his wife and two children.
