Architect Richard Borrelli is a Senior Principal and WBRC’s Portland Region Director. He has over 35 years of experience in design management, business development, executive leadership, and personnel mentoring. Richard leads by example, developing and maintaining long-standing relationships with clients, consultants and contractors to further the goals of valued clients in all four of WBRC’s studios across all offices. His leadership in Portland has helped advance and grow that office to serve New England and beyond. As Chair of WBRC’s annual Compass Healthcare Facilities Symposium, Richard leads the development of both theme and curriculum for this seminal event that has helped educate the healthcare facilities community for over a decade.
Richard Borrelli is a graduate of Ball State University’s College of Architecture and Planning, where he earned a B. Arch and a B.S. Environmental Design. He is a member of the Maine chapter of AIA and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. He is an associate member of Maine Healthcare Engineers’ Society, New England Healthcare Engineers’ Society, the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE), and Maine Hospital Association (MHA). He is a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and Portland Society for Architecture. Richard also serves as Board Chair for the South Portland Food Cupboard, a 25-year-old non-profit whose motto is “Feeding Neighbors in Need.”
