Stephanie Laplant is a WBRC Principal, the firm’s Chief Operating Officer, and an Electrical Engineer with over 25 years of experience in electrical building systems design. In her role as an Electrical Engineer, she specializes in energy-efficient design, system upgrades, and has a passion for environmentally conscious design. She also acts as Client Champion and Project Manager for one of WBRC’s large retail clients.
As Chief Operating Officer, Stephanie manages the company’s day-to-day operating activities to ensure quality and production standards are met for all design and contract documents and is responsible for stimulating the firm’s current and future success by ensuring a proper balance of employees is hired, developed, and motivated to achieve staffing goals. She promotes the firm’s vision, mission, and core values and participates in developing policy and strategic plans. Stephanie oversees the activities of all branch offices and encourages cooperation among them, providing information, tools, and training to all offices, business leaders, and supervisors.
Stephanie grew up in the Bangor Maine region and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maine. She is a licensed engineer in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New York, and Florida. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, a member of the National Fire Protection Association, and recently served on the Downtown Bangor Partnership Board of Directors.
