While books remain at the heart of every library, modern education requires spaces that do much more. WBRC partnered with Ridge View Community School and Dexter Regional High School to reimagine their libraries as flexible, future‑forward hubs—environments that honor literacy while opening new opportunities for collaboration, programming, and emerging technologies.

At Ridge View Community School, the redesigned library now supports a robust STEM curriculum led by the school’s librarian, alongside a newly introduced E‑Sports program. A large, fixed circulation desk was replaced with a mobile, furniture‑based alternative, and decorative faux columns were removed to improve visibility and create a more open, connected learning environment.

Dexter Regional High School’s renovation focused on modernization and student appeal. Upgraded ceilings, lighting, and heating systems enhance comfort and performance, while new furnishings introduce a fresh, contemporary aesthetic. A flexible multi‑use room now serves as both a conference space and an E‑Sports area, allowing the library to adapt to a wide range of student needs.

Across both schools, new furnishings help define a variety of learning settings—from traditional tables for focused work to café‑style surfaces for collaboration and soft seating for relaxed reading. These options invite students to learn in ways that feel most natural and effective for them.

Together, these renovations reflect a shared belief that the library is not a relic of the past but a launch pad for the future. By blending tradition with innovation, WBRC helped both schools create spaces where curiosity thrives, technology is embraced, and every student can find a place to engage and grow.
