Improvements to these affordable apartment homes ranged from newly landscaped and paved grounds to updated interiors that feature an open-concept design and new countertops, cabinets, and appliances. The ADA-compliant redesign project resulted in new front entry vestibules, a community room, and exterior upgrades.
This project consists of five existing buildings with six units each totaling 30 residential units and one existing centrally located community/maintenance building. The apartments are organized around a centrally located parking lot in which the community/maintenance building is located. The site is accessed via a long driveway off Pearl Street and is located in a generally wooded residential area.
Scope of work included stormwater improvements, site and building unit ADA/ABA/UFAS upgrades, window and door upgrades, building envelope insulation and barrier upgrades, low VOC painted walls and ceilings, low VOC flooring, formaldehyde free wood cabinets, Energy Star HW heater and appliance replacement, and fire suppression system upgrade.
