Trellis Health, a MaineHealth subsidiary, is redefining what accessible, community‑centered care can be. Its newly renovated 2,500‑square‑foot space introduces a fresh care model designed to meet patients where they are—physically, emotionally, and on their own terms.
As a new access point within a rural healthcare system, Trellis Health connects patients to timely, collaborative support through 24/7 telehealth services and in‑person primary and specialty care, including health coaching. The result is flexible, integrated care that fits naturally into the rhythms of everyday life.
To bring this vision to life, WBRC provided comprehensive project management, architecture, engineering, and interior design services. The project advanced at an exceptionally fast pace, requiring seamless coordination among the design team, client, and contractor. Through clear communication and a shared focus on outcomes, the team made timely decisions that kept the renovation on track—allowing Trellis Health to open its doors as planned in fall 2024.
Creating a space that feels genuinely welcoming was central to the design. WBRC used form, color, and materiality to craft an environment distinct from typical healthcare settings. Natural textures, soft lighting, and adaptable layouts foster comfort and ease—encouraging better conversations, deeper trust, and stronger relationships between patients and providers.
