Verizon in Florida relied on WBRC Architects Engineers to fulfill its brand vision on its corporate store fitouts, both before and after its rebranding efforts. Verizon’s new store prototype designs by Chute Gerdeman emphasize customer engagement, requiring unique fitouts that maximize space, promote customer/staff interaction, and enhance the customer experience. The pod-style retail model includes space for customer education and continual technology upgrades. The floor, ceilings, lighting, and fixtures work together to define space and traffic flow, requiring clear communication and diligence in the construction administration process.
As the prototype details continued to evolve, WBRC documented the updates and specifications to ensure than incremental improvements and insights were incorporated into subsequent fitouts. Since the company moves at the speed of technology, A/E services also need to be delivered quickly. WBRC Architects Engineers has completed fitouts for over a dozen of the new prototype stores. LEED Silver certified Verizon locations in Florida include Port Richey, Melbourne, and N. Jacksonville.
