WBRC designed this 4,000 SF customized cooking school and product demonstration facility to meet several objectives. Modern luxury needed to be combined with the latest technology and products to create a place where gourmet food enthusiasts could taste their creations, interact with fellow students and instructors, and watch master chefs — all while growing accustomed to some of the best products in the cooking industry, such as Viking ranges and high-end cutlery. The fitout included product display cases, and audio/video technology enabled for live recording/broadcast.
The facility has since been purchased by University of Southern Florida for use as the USF Sarasota-Manatee Culinary Innovation Lab. The fully-equipped teaching center is an important resource for students in the Hospitality Management Program, and a unique venue for private and public events.
