When a hotel developer wished to convert a Comfort Suites property to a Courtyard By Marriott, WBRC
Architects Engineers was hired to assist in the renovation approximately 8,500 SF of public space, including the lobby, bistro, mini market, theater room, and media center.
The property, located 15 minutes from Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), now welcomes guests with a fresh, upscale look using harmonious selections from Marriott’s catalog of brand-approved furniture, flooring, lighting, and finishes. The open lobby plan incorporates furniture-based “rooms” with a mixed color palette, flanked by a customized, cafeteria-style bistro. WBRC worked with frequent project partners ME3 and Collins Structural on this project.
By combining the Courtyard prototype with existing assets and footprint, this 134-room, four-story hotel now proudly flies the Marriott flag.
